So, apparently I pressed CTRL+Z and deleted my ENTIRE POST!!!!! whyyyyy!!  Let’s try this again.  Although, things are never as great as the original 😉

After thinking of what I do to motivate myself on a daily basis or when I am in a rut at work, I listen to podcasts.  In a previous post, I mentioned that I love the iPhone with it’s versatility.  On a weekly basis I download a FREE podcast named SalesGravy by Jeb Blount.  I find his podcasts to be simple and short…I am grateful they are not rocket science 😉

I recommend listening to his podcast, especially if you are like me and spend many hours a week in a vehicle of some sort.  However, if you prefer to read here is Jeb’s Blog (narrator of SalesGravy):  JebsBlog

Also, while I am on the wonderful world of the internet I have also looked up a video on youtube in response to another podcast I listened to.  Enjoy!  Remember, you build a wall one brick at a time…and just get ‘er done!

Hello!

Today has been pretty long day, short on hours and long on ‘to-do’ lists.  However, I decided to finally update my blog site.  My original site was AccordingtoPribble.weebly.com.  Thank you to the wonderful world wide web, I have discovered Wordpress.com and have decided to transport my blog to this site.  So far, the transition has been easier than I expected and the user interface is ten times more user friendly.

In my transition to WordPress.com, I have transferred past blog inserts to this page.  So every blog entry below was actually posted sometime in 2008…sorry for any confusion 🙂

Enjoy!  I hope this is a helpful resource for anyone out there looking to learn more about healthcare, business or the world according to Pribble.

A close friend, a female business professional, shared the wonderful world of PINKPINK is a magazine targeted toward female entrepreneurs and business leaders.  Every issue covers topics regarding techniques to increase revenue, maximize your personal marketability in the workforce, balance worklife with personal life and the list goes on and on.

A benefit of this magazine, in my opinion of course, is the reality of women climbing mountains and surpassing male counterparts.  No offense to the men, but let’s face it women like to hear that they can do it and are encouraged especially when another woman has crushed the glass ceiling in Corporate America.  Another benefit from PINK is the overabundance of resources available, not only from the magazine but also from the website pinkmagazine.com.  So, if you are a night owl like me you will find the website very useful.  Sometimes I get the itch to do business research at 1 a.m. and PINK is readily available for me online with articles, suggested readings and informational videos.

An investment of $15 for 12 issues will hardly break the bank.  Especially in these difficult economic times, businesses are constantly trying to find new and innovative ways to increase revenue or just keep the business they currently have.  Trust me, I know and I welcome every resources and idea I stumble across.

Enjoy!

Good Read.

I love to read books, both fictional and non-fictional.  The great thing about a non-fiction book is the ability to apply suggestions or techniques in real life.

I generally spend a minimum of 2 hours in my car every day during work.  My office is my car.  What better time to multitask than when driving.  No, I am not suggesting dial or text message while driving.  Nor am I suggesting to email while driving.  However, the iPhone is a brilliant invention that is easy on the eyes, durable and has a million (I’m exaggerating) different uses.  Most importantly, the iPhone has the capability to download podcasts or audiobooks!  I LOVE IT!

An audiobook I recently downloaded was Think Big and Kick A$$ by Donald Trump and Bill Zanker.  The book has a great no BS type vibe that shoots it to you straight.  There is nothing I like more than to not beat around the bush and shoot it to me straight…tell me like it is.  With Bill Zanker narrating, he is able to give that Donald Trump umph when listening to the audiobook.  When I get to my next destination to visit a client, the moment I step foot onto the cement and close the car door – I’m in the zone.

If you have read this book or own the audiobook, I would love to hear your thoughts!

Enjoy!
